Hello
I can't make my D-Link DSL-200 rev B1 work on my IpCop v1.4.20 firewall (kernel 2.4.36) : I've read the install docs, have tried all gs7470 related synch files, in particular gs7470_synch 04, 06 and 17. No blinking light on the modem.
I've bypassed the IpCop startup scripts and used the eciadsl-synch directly without argument, eciadsl.config is :
VID1=2001
PID1=5100
VID2=2001
PID2=5100
MODE=VCM_RFC2364
VCI=35
VPI=8
FIRMWARE=/etc/eciadsl/firmware00.bin
SYNCH=/etc/eciadsl/gs7470_synch06.bin
PPPD_USER="user"@skynet.be
PPPD_PASSWD="password"
USE_DHCP=yes
USE_STATICIP=no
STATICIP=
GATEWAY=
MODEM=D-Link DSL200 rev B1
MODEM_CHIPSET=GS7470
SYNCH_ALTIFACE=5
PPPOECI_ALTIFACE=1
PROVIDER=BE..Belgacom Skynet
DNS1=195.238.2.21
DNS2=195.238.2.22
I've also generated a synch file from a Windows XP system on which the modem works perfectly. It also works on my OpenSuse v11.1 desktop.
I can't use the probe utilities of eciadsl as those are not included in ipcop, and there is no way to compile them on the firewall as no gcc is included.
1. Can you eventually tell me which version of eci I should use for the 2.4.36 kernel of IpCop ?
2. Did somebody succeed in using the modem on IpCop ? Which synch.bin file ?
Thanks already for your support,
Paul
