Eciadsl not working with newer kernels...

Postby shame » Mon Aug 07, 2006 09:23

Eciadsl doesn't seem to work any more with any kernel version => 2.6.17
It appears to connect ok but instantly crashes/freezes as soon as any kind of internet access is attempted.
This has been the case with ALL 2.6.17 kernels on kanotix/debian sid (both kanotix and debian kernels) ubuntu and fedora core 5
Can anyone else confirm if it is working or not on those kernels and if there are any workarounds?

I've tried every synch.bin and also tried compiling the driver again with the packet size patch, since my line has been upgraded recently.
Kanotix/Debian Sid - openSuse 10.1 - Ubuntu Edgy - Fedora Core 5

Thanks for info Gesp.
I would like to add this bug has been fixed in kernel 2.6.17.8 too.

I updated EciAdsl download page with these info.
