Installation/usage of EciAdsl driver under Linux

64Bit Ubuntu 110.4 and D-Link DSL-200

Hi Guys and Gals.

I am having a few issues trying to get a d-link DSL-200 B1 working with eciadsl.

The system is ubuntu 11.04
1) I am installing on 64Bit and get an architecture warning when I try to install the package. I force this and --force-architecture and it seems happier - but..

2) it complains about dependancies for bash, ppp and libc6 . I have checked but hey seem to be installed and up to date???

3) it does not unpack the drivers correctly, leaving them with the wrong name in the etc/eciadsl folder ( save for providers etc )

I have gone through the setup and tried runnign eciadsl-start but get this output.

=====================================================
[EciAdsl 1/5] Setting up USB support...

Preliminary USB device filesystem is missing... trying to mount
Preliminary USB device filesystem: failed to load
/usr/bin/eciadsl-start: line 263: fatal: command not found
cat: /proc/bus/usb/devices: No such file or directory

[EciAdsl 2/5] Uploading firmware...

grep: /proc/bus/usb/devices: No such file or directory
grep: /proc/bus/usb/devices: No such file or directory

lsusb shows
